樹齢600年の枝垂れ桜が満開 秩父岩松山清雲寺 20240407 600-year-old weeping cherry tree in full bloom Seiunji Temple

若御子山のふもとに建つ岩松山清雲寺には約30本の枝垂れ桜の木が植えられています。その中でもひときわ目を引くのが文安3年（1446年）清雲寺創建の折、楳峯香禅師（ばいほうきょうぜんじ）が植えたと伝えられる樹齢約600年のしだれ桜です。満開の頃には薄桃色と紅色で境内が見事に染まります。
エドヒガン桜と秩父紅しだれ桜の開花の時期が1週間ほどずれているため長い期間楽しめることでも評判です。
これだけのしだれ桜が集中して植えられている場所はとても珍しく、しなやかに垂れ下がるしだれ桜を存分に楽しむことができる桜スポットです。
Approximately 30 cherry blossom trees are planted at Iwamatsuyama Seiunji Temple, which stands at the foot of Mt. Wakamikoyama. Among them, the most eye-catching tree is the approximately 600-year-old weeping cherry tree, which is said to have been planted by Baihokyo Zenji when Seiunji Temple was founded in 1446. When in full bloom, the precincts are beautifully dyed in light pink and red.
The blooming times of Edohigan cherry blossoms and Chichibu Beni Weeping cherry blossoms are about one week apart, so they can be enjoyed for a long period of time.
It is very rare to find a place where so many weeping cherry blossoms are planted in such a concentrated manner, and it is a cherry blossom spot where you can fully enjoy the supple weeping cherry blossoms.
